Prophecy Messages - What Is Missing?

There is a lot of interest, and a lot of programming lately about end-time disasters and prophetic events, particularly about the year 2012. But there seems to be an important element missing from most of these messages.

These messages, TV programs, and movies are intended to entertain, not educate or inform. And they leave something out that is important.

There is indeed prophecy in the Bible about end-time disasters that will strike the world, and these disasters are coming during the lifetimes of most people alive today, in my opinion. But you cannot turn to the popular press and media to learn about these things.

What is missing?

What is missing is the fact that these disasters are coming as a punishment for the sins of man. There is a direct connection with our sins against the God of the Bible and the disasters that are coming. These disasters are corrective in nature, that is, they are designed to lead man to repentence.

To learn more about that, you have to turn to the Bible, not television, movies, and the popular press.

  1. I agree with you.I believe that we are in the time of the great falling away in which St. John talks about in the book of Revelation. We must become aware of the signs of our time and much more vigilant in our prayers.

  2. I think The Holy Spirit as God, inspires us to know the Truth and since God the Father sent Jesus, and Jesus the Son of God sent the Spirit, I pray the Spirit of God may continue to point to Jesus as HE reveals Him.

  3. The problem is complex, but the wide range of natural disasters which appear more frequently and more dangerous every year, the new and new warnings of the necessity of changing our way of living and the growing confusion of people who just don't know what to believe in any more (which reflects onto the popular culture also in the preference for conspiracy theories, alien-movies and so on) clearly shows a tendency to read an apocalyptic message into the state of things. And even if not the Second Coming, but some definite change is bound to happen soon enough. [Yeah, and thanks for the comment :)]

  4. Amen, I think you are are on the button. Many like your self are coming to the realization that something stupendous is about to happen .Many believe this is the last generation and rightfully so. James 5:1-7 talks about a financial crisis before the end.

Also i want you to get the book great controversy written in 1800. When i read it its like reading the news.
Not only is it a revelation of the things that are happening has happen and about to happen this book is also inspiring in that it tells us regardless of religion how to stand in the days to come. Certainly The time of trouble mention in Daniel 12:1,Matthew 24, Luke 21, Isaiah 19:1-8, Zephania 1:12-18 Note that when Israel is mention its talking about God's people Gods household of faith. Not literal Israel. Not those who were circumcised by the flesh(Jews) ,But those who are circumcised in the heart by receiving the true gospel.

All over the Bible the end time troubles are described over and over a gain. God does not mention things repeatedly unless its super important. Why He Loves us dearly.

So my friend God bless your search for truth,Mys search has only just began. While the world prepare for the fall outs by stocking up guns and ammunition, and the rich & the famous are preparing bunkers. God tells us another way because we cannot fight against plans of the devil we wouldnt win.How do we prepare. Rev 10:7 What is the mystery ? Col 1:2-28 .
Christ must be in us thats what will prepare us.
Sin must be left off in our life..and if you think that is impossible see 1John ,2 John .
God bless your search for truth.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

  5. When is comes to the end of the world, or any intimidating subject for that matter, there is a definite misinformed hype, spread by the media. Anything that has just a hint of death or drama, keeps people reading and wanting more. Also driving sale through the roof. Therefore I agree that the media is the last place to look for hard facts, although I don't exactly believe in the apocalyptic God. To each his own right? It seems everyone's getting ready to die, focusing on our final days. Which makes me sad because all it does is spread negative "energy", very new-age I know. Anywhoo Instead of waiting for death to come knocking, how about making each day count? Enjoy it while you can, be that one week, five years or a millennia.
P.S. Thanks for the comment it made my day;D
Oh, and you have a fascinating blog, snaps for you.^^

    Thank you for visiting.

Yes you are right, the media is the last place to look for hard facts.

We certainly should enjoy life, provided we do so in the way that produces long term happiness for ourselves and others, and not in a way that produces short-term pleasure but long-term pain, or in a way that might feed our own pleasure while it hurts other people. This world has many examples of people who don't care who they hurt to get what they want. It also has many examples of people who cannot deny themselves short-term pleasures for long-term goals. Some people are out of control. They can't achieve anything because they can't deny themselves the pleasure of the moment. Sometimes we have to do what does not feel good to achieve goals, such as studying for an exam, doing assignments, controlling our diet, etc.

Years ago I was able to prove that God exists and that He inspired the Bible. I was able to prove that prophecies written in the Bible thousands of years ago were fulfilled in modern times in a way that cannot be reasonably explained as coincidence. Those prophecies have to do with the identity of the ancestors of the people of the United States and Britain, probably of Norway as well, in the Bible, and I describe what I discovered in the publications I have listed in the right sidebar of this blog.

Anyway, the Bible reveals that God has a plan for teaching mankind a way of life that produces the greatest long-term happiness possible, and that plan is being worked out in stages. The end-time disasters are intended to demonstrate once and for all that living selfishly in a way that hurts others, or living only for the moment and doing things that will hurt you in the long run, produces suffering for ourselves and others.

God has a way of life that He is teaching mankind, and He has a plan to give eternal life to those willing to learn it so they can live forever. But God doesn't force that way on anyone, and those who are unwilling to learn to practice that way of life will be destroyed forever, ceast to exist, and be put out of their misery forever. They will never exist to cause further misery for themselves and others.

Those who are willing to obey God now may be spared the suffering to come in the lifetimes of most people today, suffering designed to teach us lessons.

  7. I tried to contact you by some other method other than a comment so I hope you give me some other kind of avenue so that we can communicate more freely. My email address is jasonmcalton@gmail.com
if you prefer to contact me back that would a better route. First allow me to apologize if I seemed upset in my response, I was much more surprised that someone other than a member of my local church found my blog, second I almost automatically put up a defense by any outside comments because so many are so quick to persecute before taking the time to understand. I would enjoy some more discussion on some other topics, my blog was invented by me to help me write some of my own feeling and the gospel according to my understanding not for someone else to pick at or make comments that would suggest that I am not doing something according their beliefs, Not that I am saying that about you, your responses were kind, well thought out, and they seemed open minded, and I appreciated them. I was as I said surprised and shocked that someone outside of my normal friend and follower base found my blog, let alone commented. I look forward to hearing from you again, and sorry if I seemed offended, I am not at all. Thanks for your comments.
